Defense spending in the U.S. will be cut by around $500 billion as a result of the recently implemented automatic budget cuts, or sequestrations, that will reduce overall government spending by $1.2 trillion over the next 10 years unless Congress passes a new federal budget. This will add to the $487 billion in defense spending cuts already scheduled under the effect of Budget Controls Act of 2011. In all, including sequestrations, U.S. defense spending will be reduced by around $1 trillio...
